Education - Other initiatives

Top description

Dedicated to promoting a more inclusive and sustainable society, the Al Mada Foundation is the foundation on which the Group fulfills its vocation. Its initiatives are enriched by those of the Al Mada fund's various eco-responsible holdings. Pioneers in this field, the fund's holdings are among the most active companies in terms of CSR. Applying the best international standards for sustainable processes and adopting a holistic and inclusive approach to all stakeholders (customers, employees, contractors, civil society), some have received ISO 26 000 certification for social responsibility. They all contribute, each through actions linked to their sector and activity, to giving concrete form to Al Mada's commitment to “Positive Impact”, in line with the Foundation's four areas of focus: Arts & Culture, Education, Entrepreneurship and the Environment. This is demonstrated by the flagship actions of the fund's investments in the field of Education.

Attijariwafa bank, education programs for all

Attijariwafa bank, des programmes d'éducation pour tous

Through its Foundation, the Attijariwafa bank group is committed to the inclusion and social advancement of young people through merit and excellence, by supporting high-impact initiatives such as the “Grandes Ecoles pour Tous” program.

In partnership with the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports, this program aims to improve the performance of students in public preparatory classes, with a view to boosting their chances of entering Moroccan and French grandes écoles. Each year, several levers are proposed to facilitate the orientation and preparation of students for greater success in their post-preparatory class academic careers:

- Commercial & Scientific Concentration Weeks for intensive preparation for competitive entrance exams;

- Orientation tour in exclusive partnership with the Association des Marocains aux Grandes Ecoles (AMGE-Caravane) to inform and guide students in public preparatory classes;

- Equipping public preparatory school libraries with digital books and subscriptions.

Inwi: digital technology for education

Inwi: digital technology for education

Inwi Challenge is an educational program initiated by Inwi and the French Ministry of Education, Preschool and Sports, in partnership with the Injaz Al Maghrib association. Based on fun workshops organized around the game Minecraft Education, it enables students to learn while having fun, thanks to digital uses, which is the objective of this program supervised by teachers from the schools concerned. It covers several disciplines: mathematics, history, languages, physics and chemistry, etc. Since the program was launched, 33,000 students have benefited from these workshops in the Kingdom's 12 regional academies. A further 40,000 students are expected to follow the program this year.

Nareva in the field, serving its communities

With education at the core of its concerns, Nareva strives to make concrete contributions to its communities:

- Financing of solar electric vehicle initiatives ;

- distribution of connected tablets to communities near our sites;

- distribution of books to 950 high school students in Akhfennir and Boujdour ;

- deployment of anti-school dropout caravans in the rural communities where the sites are located, with the aim of identifying pupils with visual and hearing problems, to enable them to continue their education under the best possible conditions. As a result, nearly 800 pupils have been fitted with glasses.

- Programs for academic success through sport, with the TIBU Africa association, for elementary school in its local communities
