Artist Amina Rmiki's exhibition

Event

25/01/2024

Amina Rmiki was born in Ksar El Kébir. In her childhood home, paintings and drawings hang on the walls, testifying to her early interest in drawing and painting. During her twenty years in public education, she always volunteered to supervise school art projects. She left teaching to finally realize her dream of entering the Tétouan School of Fine Arts. She obtained her diploma in 1982, then went on to earn a Master's degree in drawing from Madrid's San Fernando University in 1983. Following internships during the summers of 1981, 1982 and 1983, she obtained two diplomas from the New York School of Visual Arts. She opts for the figurative to express her attachment to her roots anchored in tradition and the scenes of life gleaned from her childhood memories. Her stylistic research resolutely evokes a world deeply tinged with the curious gaze of the child within her. She has several solo and group exhibitions to her credit in several Moroccan cities.
