SSE as a Driver of Inclusion and Territorial Innovation

On the occasion of the Holcim Morocco National CSR Committee meeting, held on October 22, 2025, a roundtable discussion dedicated to the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) brought together key stakeholders from the ecosystem around the theme: “SSE as a Driver of Inclusion and Territorial Innovation.”

Moderated by Zineb Bennouna, Communication & CSR Director at Holcim Morocco, the event gathered institutional representatives, civil society organizations, and experts from the Fès–Meknès region. Speakers included Ms. Asmae Diani, President of the Moroccan Center for Studies and Research on Social Enterprise (CMERES); Mr. Mohamed Haddad, Senior Trainer at the Social Development Agency – Fès-Meknès Regional Coordination; Ms. Rahma Khayroune, President of the Rahma Association; and Mr. Noureddine Regragui, CSR Manager for the Fès–Meknès region at Holcim Morocco.

The discussions highlighted the strategic role of SSE in territorial development. The speakers emphasized its contribution to local job creation, the socio-economic inclusion of communities, the sustainability of cooperatives, and the support provided to impact-driven entrepreneurs and project leaders. They also stressed the importance of strengthening synergies among public, private, and civil society stakeholders to maximize the impact of such initiatives.

The roundtable reaffirmed the position of the Social and Solidarity Economy as a genuine driver of shared value creation and social cohesion. It also underscored Holcim Morocco’s commitment to continuing its role as a facilitator and catalyst for impactful initiatives, contributing to the sustainable development of local communities and territories.
