Following on from a documentation project - carried out since 2018 by Mouna Belgrini and Badr Haoutar (aka Snoopy) - on the impact of Moroccan acrobats on international circus art and Entertainment/Showbiz as we know them today, Liquid Bridge is proposing a formula that will allow this research work to continue in a more dynamic form. A circus cycle that creates a bridge between documentation/research and live performance, the diaspora and Morocco, the different regions and circus schools of Morocco, generations and street circus artists and the public. On the esplanade of the Villa des Arts in Casablanca, the cycle will close with an open city or contemporary circus workshop (all ages and all levels) with a focus on a discipline or a guest (artist, professional, researcher), a projection or intervention/discussion/presentation of historical documents around the discipline/guest/character of the day and a performance by professionals around the discipline.
